The Sagefield Crime Prevention and Improvement District (SCPID) serves a vital role in our community. Its primary responsibilities include:
-
Crime Prevention: The district aims to enhance safety by increasing the presence of law enforcement personnel within the Sagefield area. By doing so, it contributes to the security and well-being of district residents.
-
Beautification and Improvements: Beyond crime prevention, the SCPID focuses on enhancing the overall quality of life in the neighborhood. It allocates resources for beautification projects and other improvements within the district. These efforts contribute to keeping our community beautiful and vibrant.
-
Governance: The SCPID operates under a seven-member board of commissioners, representing various stakeholders such as the Sagefield Homeowners Association, local legislators, and other relevant authorities. This governance structure ensures effective decision-making and community representation.
In addition to these responsibilities, the district has the authority to sue and be sued, adopt a corporate seal, and manage funds collected for its initiatives1. By working collaboratively, the SCPID strives to create a safer, more attractive environment for all Sagefield residents.
